Choosing a wedding outfits for women can be a difficult task for some whilst for others it is as simple as grabbing a gorgeous maxi dress from their wardrobe. First there are dress codes to think about, then the changable weather and lastly what will be comfortable all day and look stylish through out. For men the decision is relatively simple, a smart suit, crisp white shirt and colourful tie will always look the part. For women there are so many options from summer dresses, to suits or skirts and blouses. Then there is the question of whether to wear a hat or fascinator or go without.

The Dress

The dress is  a really versatile piece of clothing that works well for a wedding but will also get plenty of wear afterwards at parties and other special occasions. Sun dresses, maxi dresses and prom dresses are just some of the styles that look great at weddings but generally speaking any mid length dress that is not too revealing and is not white is a possibility. By choosing a summer dress that is made from luxurious fabrics you can be sure that you will look sufficiently dressed up but it is also really important how you accessorise dresses or indeed any wedding outfits for women. A skinny belt in a contrasting colour, some great heels and a brightly coloured clutch are all great ways to make sure you look dressed up enough for such an important occasion. Sleeveless or short sleeved dresses can be worn with pashminas, wraps, shrugs, boleros or tailored jackets to create a smart and stylish look.

The Suit

A skirt or dress suit is also a popular choice of wedding outfits for women. In order to avoid looking like you are going to work steer clear of dark neutrals colours like black, grey, navy and brown. Instead choose bright colours, pastel colours or muted tones. A pretty floral blouse adds colour ans pattern to a summer suit. Try to avoid being too match match with your accessories as this can sometimes look a little dated, instead try something a bit daring like a bright clashing pair or shoes or just stick with neutral colours.

The Skirt and Top

Whilst a skirt and top can be a striking outfit, it can be more difficult to make this combination look suitably dressy for a wedding. Statement skirts like a maxi dress with a beautiful print, an embroidered circle skirt or a satin pencil skirt could all look good with a plain top or blouse. Alternatively a really beautiful blouse or top with a neutral skirt might look amazing. For slightly cooler days there is also the option to add  a tailored jacket which will make the overall outfit look a little smarter and suitable for the occasion.

Hat or Fascinator?

Whether you wear a hat or fascinator is really a personal choice. Fascinators have become really popular lately especially those inspired by vintage millinery. The beauty of a fascinator is that is does not flatten your hair creating what is known as hat hair.
